Adrian Bath has a PhD in isotope geochemistry and has 34 years experience in radioactive waste management, mainly in the geochemical and hydrogeological aspects of siting for geological disposal. His specialisations include groundwater sampling programmes, environmental isotope analyses and interpretations, geochemical modelling and gas geochemistry. He has published more than 50 scientific papers. He has been involved in scientific and strategic roles in three phases of site investigations in Britain. That work has continued with advice to the UK government on planning of a future repository programme and ongoing technical and scientific contributions to Radioactive Waste Management's (RWM-UK) programme. He is a member of scientific advisory groups set up by the Swedish and Finnish nuclear regulatory authorities to review progress on their national repository siting projects. He has also had research and review roles in other European and international projects.
